Hellfire Records acquired its name from the old hellfire club where it is said these elite members practiced Satanism and had wild orgies with lady's of the night. the ladys where dressed as nuns and travelled by boat down the thames to the hellfire club. they also dressed like this to hide what they were actually doing once in the hellfire caves. This label is dedicated to the life of Edward Lovibond one of the original members of the hellfire club and also a family member.

Dj Darkside started Hellfire Records in june 2007 after having various releases on labels like Corrupt
Records and Fifth Era. he then decided to launch his own hardcore/doom label to try and push more of a doomy sound.

so far Hellfire Records has had guest artists including germany's Adam Frost and uk's Fifth Era
